Year 6 Residential - Frontier Centre
A fantastic time was had by all, on our Year 6 Residential trip. The children showed numerous skills in teamwork and, at times, pushed themselves well outside of their comfort zones. They upheld our schools values and were a delight to work with. We are so proud of their achievements!
Here are a few photos from their trip.
Shakespearience Project
We have now begun our exciting project with The Theatre Royal, in which we are building up to our very own shared performance of 'Twelfth Night' at the theatre.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the theatre to watch professional actors perform the script, which will be used by the children, in a few short weeks.
Emma, a representative from the theatre, has visited school and begun workshopping the scenes with our buddy actors. We were all impressed with how well the children took to their roles and the progress they made during their first afternoon session. Well done Eagles; we can't wait to see you 'tread the boards' of the Theatre Royal!
Visiting Students - 3rd October
Today, we were lucky enough to have a group of students, who are visiting from China, pop in to teach us all some words in Mandarin. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and their pronunciation and writing were excellent. Our visitors enjoyed their teaching experience too. We do hope that they enjoy the rest of their trip!
Twelfth Night
A huge thank you to all of our Year 6 children and their families for the incderible effort that went in to rehearsing for the Shakesperience project. The children performed beautifully on the night!
After a day of technical rehearsals - getting to grips with props, sound and lighting prompts - the children took to the stage with confidence, their hard work and dedication over the past few weeks shining through.
Parents, staff and Govenors watched on, briming with pride. Well done Eagles Class, you are amazing!
Safer Internet Day 2025
The 2025 Safer Internet Day theme was: ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online.'
The children participated in live lessons and carried out a number of activities designed to help them spot scams and phishing attempts online. They also looked into what makes a good password, to keep their accounts secure.
Year 6 were incredible at spotting the scams and saying what was suspicious about the content.
Tiny Plays, Big Ideas
Eagles Class are lucky enough to be working alongside the Theatre Royal again this term. We were absolutely delighted to welcome Emma back after her wonderful support on the Shakespearience project.
We are taking part in a writing project called 'Tiny Plays, Big Ideas'. Over the past couple of weeks, Kitty Morgan - a playwrite, who often works with the theatre - has led some workshops, to teach the children how todevelop ideas to write their own plays. We have had great fun acting out scenes and inventing dialgoue!
Over next next week we will be editing and typing our scripts before submitting them to the theatre. On 25th March, Eagles Class will go to the Theatre Royal and one of our pupil's plays will be performed on the stage by professional actors!
